I've been writing a novel for a while, but I feel that my characters are a little... 2D? I know my characters inside-out but I am struggling to put my ideas to paper. How can I effectively build my characters?

Tough question. It could be that you need more action to bring out their characters. Remember, in order to show character they need to make choices and react in situations and that way the reader can see who they are.
