Lynne Whittemore
Lynne Whittemore asked Michael Xavier:

I've been a follower of your Facebook page and am amazed by your works. Do you ever get to a point where you aren't able to write and how do you get past it?

Michael Xavier What a great question, Lynne. Thank you for the kind compliment. I've always had the ability to write, but ability alone (like any other talent) is a fickle thing. I have found over the years that finding my process as a writer ensures that I have to depend less and less on inspiration. Process demands discipline. It demands ritual. The rewards it eventually gives are well worth the effort. When I'm not inspired, or stuck at a certain point, I write whatever I can. Quite often short ideas. I know that they will eventually be used or ignite a future piece, character, or story. Talent is the ability to put words in a unique order, but process tells the story.
I hope that helps.
