Mylan Allen The best thing about being a writer-especially one this young-is usually the shock of people discovering that I'm a writer. I remember when I first finished writing Gifted back in 9th grade and my teacher asked the class: "What did you guys do this weekend?" Obviously, I replied: "I finished my book." He then asked what the name of the book was, I told him that I didn't know because I hadn't chosen a title yet and he was very confused until I actually showed him! Most people think that I'm playing video games all weekend long or watching movies but my main goal on weekends is to write!
