Izzy Quigley
Izzy Quigley asked Millie Florence:

how do you stay with the same book the whole time? like, i start writings seeds but then i forget to water them so they dont grow.

Millie Florence In the beginning, I actually DIDN'T stick with the same book! I was notorious for starting a million stories and then never finishing them. But I've grown to realize that wasn't a bad thing.

The reason I lost interest in many of the stories I started is because writing takes a long time, and when you're a new writer you grow quickly. So quickly that you'll often outgrow your current idea, skill-wise, before you have the chance to finish it. Of course it's boring to write a level one story if you've graduated to level five now! But that's a sign you're growing, which is a GOOD thing.

If you're a new writer and you really want to finish a story, then write something short that you're excited about, and write it fast before you have the chance to lose interest or outgrow it! Set deadlines and stick to them.
