Evelina
Evelina asked Lisa Maxwell:

What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

Lisa Maxwell Read widely and deeply. Finish something.
Don't limit yourself to just reading what is easy or what you *think* you like. I never read a Romance novel until I was almost 30, but once I did, I realized that I'd been missing something in my reading. And, ultimately, Romance taught me more about plot and character development than anything in grad school.
And you have to finish. Even if you get bored or tired, finish something. You might decide never to revise it, but the very act of finishing will give you the confidence to know that you CAN finish the book that you will revise when the going gets tough...and it ALWAYS gets tough at some point.
