hey Pen i loved Aflame through and through so well Jared stole my heart, he completely outdid himself in this book, i love your writing style but when you write from Jared's POV your words become more powerful. Why do you think readers are always quick to judge him?
Penelope Douglas
Hi, Amna!
That's an excellent question. Of course, I can't speak for the reader. They come from an entirely different perspective, but if I had to guess, it's because Tate had almost always been a good person. She was kind and generous, and she was strong. Much like the woman we all want to be. Even during the times she acted up, it was easy to forgive her, because we identified with her. She deserved the world.
Jared had been cruel, threatening, and--yes--abusive in high school. He didn't instill confidence the way Tate did. The readers wanted to trust him, but it was hard when he kept disappointing them.
And that kept happening, because he was weak. He still didn't know what he was made of.
With Aflame, and the Epilogue, I hope most readers now have full confidence in Jared and Tate's happily ever after. :)

Hi Penelope! I'm such a huge fan, the Fall Away series is my all time favorite and so I couldn't wait to get my hands on corrupt when it came out! I devoured it in one sitting and just want more! My question is, do you think you will give Alex a book? Maybe with a love interest of Kai or Will? Thank you so much for what your bring to the world of books! Truly amazing <3

Hey Pen! At what point while writing the Fall Away series did you know you were going to write about their children as well? Kade is my fave (from the little I've seen ha), He has a lot of layers to him that need to be peeled away ;) His interactions with Dylan are everything! I saw somewhere the order of the books are going to be Hunter & Dylan (:(), Kade's, Quinn's, then Hawke's- is there any truth to that?

I don't know if this has already been a question or not, but Jared and Tate's son's name wasn't mentioned in the book. Did you have a name for him when you started writing or was it always meant for it to be some sort of a loose end? :)
