What’s the best thing about being a writer?

W.C. Clinton I write to amuse myself. I love to play with words, with different points of view for the narrative, different genres. The best thing, though, is when what I write entertains someone else, as well. I spent a good bit of time writing comedy with a sketch troupe called Oral Free Delivery in the late eighties, and the pay-off in laughter when the sketches were performed is one of the highlights of my writing career so far.
