I have a routine that helps me predictably shift into gear. If this doesn't bore you, nothing in the world could, but you are welcome to proceed!
I get up in the morning (about 6 a.m.) and check emails and social media. After getting back to everyone, I write for an hour or two. Then, I'm ready to get down to business. I take a shower and listen to my playlist for the book to get in the groove. I jot down what I need to write in the upcoming scenes (to kind of flesh them out a little more than my outline did) and I get down with my bad self. I can groove on until about three in the afternoon (if the kids are at school) or until one of my kids needs me (which, during the summer is about every 1.3 seconds).
We do the dinner thing, maybe walk the dogs, cut the lawn, and collapse in the back yard with a cup of joe that is so strong you could chew it like a rawhide strap. Mmm Mmm Mmm.
Then, while everyone else settles into their routines- drawing, tinkering, honey-do-ing or whatever...I get back into writing. I do edits and catch up on any new emails/social media stuff and might make notes or actually put down some words. Evening hours are just whip cream on the day.
Are you still alive? Did you fall asleep and swallow your tongue while reading that? Not that I blame you, but there you have it- my glamorous life. :)

Potential Series Spoiler! I need more Garrett and Nalena. I need it. I finished the entire series in a week, and I have to say, I need more! *Spoiler* Is there any chance you will write another book that follows them into the new world they have chosen? Please say yes!

Hi Misty. I am really enjoying Cornerstone, but one of my huge pet peeves is when an author doesn't practice correct grammar. Whenever you start with "between" which is a proposition, you use the word "me" not. "I" . Perhaps your editor needs a lesson in grammar? Other than that, so far you have my total attention! Very well written:)
