Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Connie Spittler Two things triggered this cozy mystery. One was being surrounded by migrating Monarch butterflies on a country road in California. The second was finding an old art book left by my designer daughter after she graduated from the U of IA. The book was about a European monastery in the 1500's and it had sketches of their garden with a list of the vegetables and herbs. It intrigued me and I knew I'd write about it one day, but changed the monastery to a chateau.
