Goodreads asked Lise MacTague:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lise MacTague Writer's block isn't my problem. I don't usually have any problems with not having writing ideas. My problem tends to be focusing on just one story at a time. Inevitably, while I'm working on one book, I'm noodling on the others I have on the back burner. I'll get excited about something I'm thinking about on the other ones and I have to stop myself from dropping the current story to go work on the new one.

To combat that urge, I have a little notebook that I carry around with me. I write down thoughts and plot points for my current work-in-progress, as well as the other things I'm working on. The simple act of writing it down helps solidify it in my mind, and it also gives me something to refer back to when I start on the next work.
