Goodreads asked Diane O'Toole:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Diane O'Toole I have experienced writer's block a few times and it's very disconcerting. To know that you've written more than forty chapters of your book and all of a sudden you're sat in front of the computer screen, fingers poised above the keyboard, yet you can't think of a single word to write.

I deal with it by going back a few chapters and begin reading and as I become absorbed in my work, thoughts and ideas pop into my head and get the creative juices flowing again. As I mentioned earlier, all it takes is just a few words, a couple of lines and before I know it, I'm tapping away at the keyboard again.
