Hi, I think I read some place recently that you don't think readers are going to like the ending you have planned in the next Deanna Madden book. Did you really say that? If so, why are you planning an ending that fans won't like? Just curious. I like to try to get into the minds of writers.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if you are referring to Do Not Disturb (#2) or If You Dare (#3).
I hate to say anything that will be a spoiler, but writing If You Dare was a very emotional process for me. Partly because I was dealing with my husband's cancer at the time, but also because I feel SO close to Deanna and I take her struggles to heart. Alot happens in If You Dare and I faced some struggles, as a writer, in which direction to take the novel. I finally listened to the characters and it ended up taking that decision making out of my hands. Are there some readers who won't like the ending? Probably. But I have readers reach out to me with every book who don't like the ending. I will never be able to please all of the readers, that is just impossible.

Hi Alessandra. I'm a big fan of your Deanna Torres series, and I especially love Derek and his sexy voice. Do you have any plans for spin offs with him in them? If not, can you tell me more about him, like what is his actual feelings toward Deanna, and how old he is? Thank you!
