Sorry, in different countries sometimes they change titles so I'm not sure if its the first or second book in the series you are talking about BUT i will say this, Grandma Nadine was based off my real Grandma...I literally sit with her and take notes as she talks, a lot of times she'll go. Fun fact about The Dare, the third book in the Bet series, the scene where Jace and Beth are talking about being sick and Grandm tries to make him feather tea? Yeah that actually happened in my family. My grandma says she used to "sex" chickens (She lived on a chicken farm) and she's convinced that tea brewed with feathers takes a way a fever.
