Goodreads asked Kevin Booth:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Kevin Booth I take a blank sheet of paper, lie on the floor and write by hand whatever comes into my head. I challenge myself to use my non-dominant hand to write with (i.e. I'm left-handed so I use my right hand) and to turn the page so that I am writing across the lines instead of following them.

Through this process I am literally forcing myself to write "outside the box", I am freeing up my creativity and removing the pressure to write well. Generally after a few minutes of this, the juices start to flow again and I can transfer what I have on paper onto the computer.
