I knew a man from my home town who served with the Army in the Middle East. One day I was driving home and there was a giant billboard on the side of the highway that read "welcome home, we are proud that you served so bravely." I knew him well and I knew he was not settling in to civilian life very well. The idea for THE BOMBER grew from there.
