Julie Klassen Hi Elizabeth. Sorry for the tardy reply. Just finished revisions for my December book, and now I'm catching up with other things, like your fun question. So glad to hear you and your grandmother shared my books. How special is that?!? Thanks for letting me know. And, no, in general, my characters are not based on people I know in real life, though sometimes I am inspired by biographies of real people. Thanks for asking!

Hello, I just finished reading The Inkeeper of Ivy Hill. I enjoyed it but have a question... There was the woman - Mrs North who came to the Inn and had a miscarriage but I don't understand why that character was introduced. What was the purpose of that? It seemed that there was an underlying reason to introduce her but that never came to fruition. Thank you
