Sounds like a book I should read, Tom! I've been spending a lot of time helping my parents the past five years. I've learned so much and it's been a sweet though sometimes incredibly challenging time. Are your parents still with us?

Hi, Linda. Sorry this took 8 months to answer. I've been really busy with my mom and brother in California, and with my family here in Fairfield. Two grandkids!
A Day Out with Mom was written originally as blog posts while I was helping my parents in a time of crisis. It is written in multiple voices--mine and my parents. My adventures with my mom and dad I tell, and also I speak in their voices stories they told me about their lives growing up and being together.
My dad passed away a little over a year ago. My mom will be 91 in about two weeks. I'll be visiting her in about a month. My brother has lived with my parents as a caregiver for many years--another story . . .
I can't agree with you more that this time with family has been "sweet though sometimes incredibly challenging."
