Hey Kristen! I recently read Wild Man and came across the scene when Tess goes to Brock's and Vance and Hector are there. She noted that all the boys had bottles of Bud. I always wandered if this was a mistake or was Vance drinking? Throughout the Rock Chick series, he never even held beer and always opted for a pop.

Kristen Ashley Vance wasn't drinking. In Tess's point of view, the dudes all had beers and Brock may have given Vance a beer but he wasn't drinking it.

In ROCK CHICK RENEGADE, Vance was very open with Jules and Nick about his situation because of who Jules and Nick are (or were going to be, according to Vance, HA!).

Not sure how far Vance shares his alcoholism with others in his line of work. I've never really dissected this scene :-) but it's highly likely Brock just pulled out the beers and gave them to the boys, making assumptions. Or Tess didn't see things as they were since she walked in closer to the end of the boys' discussion.

But no, Vance wasn't drinking beer.
