Hello, I just wanted to say that your book was amazing and I'm counting down the days until the next one comes out. What was the genesis point of your idea with the Sparks and Synergists etc? I'm 13 and into writing myself but I have trouble coming up with original ideas and plots. Thanks :)

I am delighted to hear you enjoyed Spark. :-) Hoorah! Stray is out Sept 1st this year. The idea for the trilogy came from a dream that I had which became the prologue of bk1. I woke up and began asking questions: why/how was I so fast/strong? How did I know there was a person in danger in the woods? Why was it my responsibility to save her? It didn't feel like magic, it felt like radio-active spider bite material and so I began to imagine something designed in a lab. Then of course I asked myself what would they be trying to achieve designing people with abilities and my imagination went beserk ... and hello Sparks, Strays, Shields ...

hey Rachael, I would just like to know if there is a chance of you starting a new series after Spark, Stray and Shield or if you are going to continue the Spark series? Also if you do start a new series it would be great to have more characters like Evie, brave, strong and can do anything. thx a lot.
