Goodreads asked Rundy Purdy:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Rundy Purdy I find there are different kinds of writer's block. Sometimes writer's block develops when working on a difficult part of a book. Then I try to simply persevere. Other times writer's block can come when I truly don't know where to take the writing next. In that case taking a break for a (short) time can give a fresh perspective. Lastly, sometimes discouragement can bring on writer's block. Reading something that inspires my own writing, or doing something other than writing that is encouraging is the best way to fight that form of writer's block.
