Frankie Bow Great question! It is fun, but it's also challenging, as I have to be highly alert to what to me are "everyday" things. Most readers don't live in Hawaii, so my job is to pick out telling details, like the pile of slippers (aka flip-flops) on the front porch during a party (and tipsy guests who sometimes walk off wearing the wrong pair).
