Is Nagini the snake Harry freed on Dudley's birthday?

Jean-Gabriel Piette Nope. There was a rumour that Nagini was the snake Harry released from the zoo in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. This was proven false, as Nagini is some type of viper while the snake in the zoo was a boa constrictor. Furthermore, the snake was given a male voice in the film, while Nagini is female.

Rebekah It definitely is the same snake. J.K. Rowling said it was.
Ali Nagini is not the snake Harry freed in the zoo.
Open Close Nagini is NOT the snake Harry freed on the zoo. The snake on the zoo was a boa; Nagini was a piton.
Elifsu The book says the snake that was in the zoo is a Boa Constrictor, which is a non-venomous snake. But Nagini, is venomous.
Teagan Ward Yes it was, that was the answer that J.K Rowling gave when asked this question
Mihir nope that is not the same snake
Talia No. But that would have been awesome.

The snake was a woman that turned into a snake because of a curse right?
Abigail Tuttle if anyone who has watched Crimes of Grindelwald can back me up on this. Nagin was the name of one of the characters, who could turn into snake.
