Did you have a different job when you started writing fiction? If so, how long after you were first published did you decide to become a full-time writer?
Joseph Finder
Yes — I was teaching writing at Harvard. But I decided even before I was published that I wanted to write full-time, and I was able to do that soon after my first book sold.

What draws you to thrillers? And would you ever consider writing outside the box? Like a good old-fashioned ghost or horror story?
