Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sophia Scarlet a Story of Summers began as a series of fantasies about what my early twenties would have looked like if I had made very different decisions. From there characters emerged and their stories unfolded in ways I would not have imagined at the beginning of my thought experience. It was a fascinating exploration of my own imagination.
