Just wanted to let you now I finished the book and left my review; while I didn't write this in the review I have to ask....were you and your mother really close, it seems that I could see myself in Fina when it came to her mother?

Hi Linda, Thanks so much for reading and reviewing my book. I can't tell you how much that means to me! And now to try and answer your question. It's so thought provoking and complex and you've zeroed in on one of Fina's central truths, the love of and death of her mother. For her it is a loss that is never finished, never really understood, a grief that goes on and grows. Fina wouldn't exist without it. And, yes, I am very close to my mother as you must be to yours.
