Goodreads asked Robert Enright:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Robert Enright Be prepared to put the work in. I mean it. Sitting down and thinking you will become a writer overnight will never happen. All the processes are fun but they are lengthy. The planning, the writing, the editing and the endless promoting. But all I can say is it is so worth it!

Also, believe in yourself. As cliche as that may sound, it is true. Believe in your idea, in your characters, in your ability to write. Without it, the story will fall apart.
