Goodreads asked E.N. McNamara:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

E.N. McNamara I think that the best advice I could give other authors is to write what you feel passionate about. The first book in my series was motivated by A Course in Miracles - a book that forever changed me.  How great it would be, I thought, if I had learned these principles earlier in life. Well, there was my challenge. Could I write YA fiction that would touch on some of the ACIM  lessons, yet still be engaging and maybe even funny?

Around the same time, I heard an author on NPR (whose name I can't recall) say that if you don't find your writing up to your standard, maybe you should lower your standards. Some how this little bit of advice, for better or worse,  gave me the confidence to write 'Off the Grid' the first book in The Jamie Keller Mystery Series.
Once I got the Kellers inside my head I couldn't get them out. I've just published the fourth book in the series 'On the Brink', and am considering the title for book five.

So express yourself!! It cost nothing to write and  it's very therapeutic.
