What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Gary Green I once heard a writer say that he doesn't like writing, he likes having written. I have to say there is nothing like getting that first proof copy and holding it in your hands for the first time. It is very satisfying knowing that you created this thing in your hands. Also, in my case I have gotten feedback from readers that they found my books helpful in some way. That is very satisfying also.
