Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mallory Kane I'm writing NO SAINT, which will be the second book in my New Orleans Finest series for Tule Publishing. I'm not sure where the idea came from for Rick and Sin's story. But Rick came to me, as many of my heroes do, pretty much whole cloth. He appeared in my mind as a detective and a 'cowboy,' not interested in traditional authority, but definitely an honorable man, albeit with his own sense of honor. He's a good man, with his own opinion of the best way to do things and he's sure that he's the only one who can successfully protect the heroine. She, of course, has a diffrerent idea. Sin is definitely a match for Rick, and she showed up in my head soon after Rick did.
