The funny thing is that, for me at least, if I wait to "get inspired," I might not ever get any writing done. I have to have a schedule where I sit down at my computer whether I feel like it or not. The inspiration actually comes...if it comes at all...once I started writing that particular day. When I'm excited about my story and like my characters, it's a lot easier to get that excitement and creative rush that comes with inspiration. There are certainly days when I'd much rather be fly fishing but if you're going to be a writer, you have to approach it as you would any job. You get up and go to work whether you feel like it or not. Hopefully, you get that inspired feeling more often than not.
