A Goodreads user asked Jennifer Foehner Wells:

What is the biggest challenge for you since Fluency and you became so popular?

Jennifer Foehner Wells Well, before I put Fluency up for sale I was a stay at home mother with a writing hobby. Now I'm a full time author and the adjustment hasn't been simple. My family grew used to me taking care of all of the household needs and now they need to help out. Luckily both of my children are old enough to take on some of that.

Also, writing used to be something I could take my time over. I took 2 years to write and revise Fluency. Now I feel a certain amount of pressure to finish book two in a timely manner without compromising any quality.

This winter a whole lot of life has happened to me and my family. I pledged to be done with book 2 by June of 2015 but now it's looking like I didn't give myself enough time. That is stressful because I am asked by readers every single day about the sequel. But I'm committed to producing the best book I can. So there may be a delay.

I've always been a slow, deliberate writer. Dashing off stuff for me never saves time because it requires so much more editing. So, I will continue to work hard at it. Book two is shaping up to be very exciting and I'm really enjoying it--so while this has been really challenging, it's also been insanely rewarding. This is all new to me. I'm figuring it all out as I go!

I never expected any of this. I never thought anyone would read Fluency. I expected to have written at least 4-5 books before I ever got noticed even in a minor way. So, I really cannot complain. I'm in a very, very good place and I'm so grateful that people are enjoying my work!
