From your background in robotics at Carnegie Mellon, is the concept of an Archos an impossibility, a possibility, or a probability?

Daniel H. Wilson What I love about the idea of general artificial intelligence is that the end creation doesn't form any kind of natural class like a biological organism--in other words, we have NO IDEA what sorts of intelligences will fall out of the process, if we are able to create them. So, I think Archos R-14 is one possibility, should we reach that level of sophistication... then again, the man once known as Maxim, the horror of Arayt, and the quasi-biological thing called Ryujin are also possibilities, along with so many more!
