What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Brett “Fish” Anderson This is an easy one and might seem oversimple... but Write! Writing is a skill and so the more you do it, hopefully the better you become [unless you're writing bad stuff and just continue writing a lot of bad stuff] - but typically the more you write [and invite feedback from safe people to start with and the general public when you are feeling a bit more confident] the better you will become.

Also Read! Find some blogs you like and some authors you respect and read their stuff on a regular basis and try and figure out what you like about it. You never want to try and write like someone else because you need to find your own voice, but you can hone things in your skill by adding little things you like in others.

If you don't have a blog, that's a great way to begin because you can write on whatever topic you want and invite people to read it and comment and help you get better.
