How do you get inspired to write?

Amy Shojai I live with my furry muses, and my suspense thrillers feature an animal behaviorist and the common challenges they face. What happens in the world of medicine, animal behavior, pet welfare and the like always offers inspiration. I love cobbling various plot-threads together in a surprising "what if..." and am always surprised and delighted by the result. Writing from the service dog viewpoint helps me put myself in the animal's "paws" and gives a unique and fresh perspective and voice to the fiction.
