Since the sequel to Courier was finished and accepted almost a year ago, I'm trying out a new genre: paranormal thriller in the vein of Jim Butcher and Kim Harrison (I should ever write that well!) The central concept is that there is a 9/11 style attack but it's mystics rather than religious terrorists and the effects are magical rather than political, social, and criminal.
In other words, a Washington DC where the Democrats are Elvish and the Republicans are Dwarfs (even if they are tall).
