Reckoners is completely separate from all other Brandon Sanderson work. Totally different genre, writing style, and level of reading. Entertaining in its own right, but not quite the same.
I would recommend reading in this order:
Step 1: Can read all of these with no problem in any order
Elantris
Warbreaker
Mistborn Trilogy
Way of Kings
Emperor's Soul
Step 2:
Words of Radiance (should read Warbreaker first)
Wax and Wayne
Step 3:
Arcanum Unbounded
I would recommend reading in this order:

Mistborn is more like Stormlight than Reckoners. Mistborn's actually set in the same "universe" (the cosmere) although you mostly can't tell.

Read both! They are both amazing series, but they are very different. Mistborn takes place in the complex universe known as the Cosmere, where some of his other fantasy novels take place. The Reckoners takes place in a dystopian American "future".
