I enjoy so many aspects of being a writer, it's hard to name one as the best. If I have to choose, I think I'd say the best thing about being a writer is creating something other people enjoy.
When someone reads my story and tells me they liked it, or it made them smile, or my plot twist shocked them... that makes me want to write more. I like knowing that I can create stories that have an effect on people.
