How do you get inspired to write?

Kathleen Fracaro I read and read and read, usually in my genre of Crime Fiction but I do read other genres. People watching inspires me, what they say, how they dress. One of the best inspirations is to sit in a coffee house and pick out someone who stands out to you. Have a notebook with you. Write about this person Describe him/her.. Make up a story about him/her. You can manipulate them anyway you want, they are yours. Listen to conversations around you. I know it eavesdropping, but hey, some people talk really loud. Watch the news. Read newspapers. There is always something out there to inspire you.
