Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Richard Fierce The entire series started with Dragonsphere. The idea for the novel came when I was helping my wife watch small children in our church nursery. One of the kids was playing with a toy that was shaped like a ball and had buttons on it that played music.

I thought to myself, what if there was a sphere that had a dragon trapped in it? And to keep it locked inside, music would have to be played. And then I started writing it. Originally it was intended to only be a stand alone novel, but it ended up being the first in the series of 4 books.
