How much time do you spend writing (or other related activities) each day?

Victoria Schwab It depends on whether I'm writing/editing/plotting, but usually about 3-5 hours a day, unless I'm on deadline and then it cranks up to 8-10. It's astonishing how much time spent being an author doesn't fall under writing. But I'm also in grad school, so that takes up a certain number of hours a week as well.

Hi Victoria, I think that you are an extremely gifted writer. I am currently aspiring to be a writer myself, however, I am 31 years old, and I was not an avid reader growing up, and even less so a writer. Now, I can't get enough of either. But, they say that if you want to learn a language, do so at a young age (brain development and such), and I fear the same is true for writing. What are your thoughts?
