Alexis Hall *laughs* Thank you. I really loved writing it - precisely because it was kind of extreme. For me, I think what made it possible was the fact it was a love story from the outside. I think if they'd been the central characters, instead of Dil, it would have all become a bit too much. I mean, that kind of we-hate-each-other-and-love-each-other passion always hovered on the edge of absurdity anyway. But I felt I had more freedom in telling that excessive kind of story because I wasn't necessarily trying to *sell it* (sell it, in the sense that when you normally write a romance you have to sort of make a case to the reader that this is a worthwhile future for the involved parties), just sort of *show it* - through Dil's occasionally envious eyes. So ... I basically think that's why. I'm genuinely not sure how it work, or not be too much, if was the central strand of a book. Less is more and all that ;)
