How do you get inspired to write?

Maria V. Snyder I get inspiration from various things - movies, TV shows, live theater, and books are all very inspiring to me. My kids and traveling also help generate ideas. Writing every day helps, too - my creativity is like an engine, when it's cold due to a long break, it stutters and chugs, but once I'm in the mode, it runs hot and efficient.
