Goodreads asked Richard Foley:

How do you get inspired to write?

Richard Foley One day, I was feeling creative, so I wrote an eight page story. After one of my friends read it, she encouraged me to pursue writing. I was rather reluctant at first because she suggested I write a autobiography. Uncomfortable in writing lengthy literature, lacking interest in my own life, and insecurity were just some of the obstacles I had to overcome... Rita Smith is a retired high school English teacher who lives in Ridgeway, Virginia and she reached me just in the nick of time to save my life, by inspiring me to write! Although I haven't wrote any nonfiction yet, I have completed a book of dark poetry called Panchromatic Obscurity! Recently, I've written a collection of sci-fi short stories and am on the verge of publishing it soon...
