Kiki Howell Stay true to your story. It will show in your writing, make your story better. Ignore the internal editor, the nay sayer that comes from other's opinions mostly. So, most importantly take with a grain of salt the opinions everyone will throw your way from a well-meaning friend to your Aunt Irene. That said, if you are lucky enough to have an experienced editor or writer among your early readers, utilize them. You can benefit from your experience.
