Joyce
Joyce asked Victoria Schwab:

How is it that Londons on some universes have magic and others don't?

Victoria Schwab It depends on two things: the world's attitude toward magic, and its proximity to the source of power. The worlds sit next to each other like pages in a book, and Black London is--was--the most powerful, the closest to the source of magic. White London sits next to Black, and would be the second most powerful if they weren't at war with magic. Red London sits next to White. Grey London sits at the end, so it has the weakest connection to magic, but also it stopped believing in it centuries ago.
