At what stage in your writing process do you feel comfortable accepting outside editorial suggestions? Besides the editor at the publisher, do you stick with trusted readers, and when do you know what changes to accept and reject? (Being a writer myself, I struggle with these questions)
Lisa Scottoline
A, Great question, and thanks so much for asking. I generally write and edit my book until I feel like it is ready to go. I will discuss the general idea of the book with my editor in the beginning, but no one reads it until I am finished. Then once I get my editor's suggestions, which are always awesome, I try to understand what the editor is asking me to change, and then make corrections in a way that I feel is right for me and the book. Everyone works and writes differently, however, and there is no right or wrong way. Find what works best for you, and that is what you should do. Best of luck with your writing. Best, L

You are one of my favorite authors. I anxiously await each new release! Just finished ONE PERFECT LIE and I really enjoyed it...read it in one day! I have read most of your books over the years, and like many others, my favorites are the Rosato & DiNunzio books, but I really love everything I've read by you and your daughter, Francesca. Can't wait for EXPOSED! No ? for you, just accolades!

I LOVE all of your books. I'm a Realtor & I just finished "Think Twice" on CD. I don't know if it's too late to ever correct an error, but I wanted to let you know I caught one? When Mary got the email from the Realtor that said "Congratulations... buyer accepts all terms... talk to you in the morning." It should have been SELLER accepts all terms. Can't wait to see where Alice shows up next :) xxoo, A :)
