Hi, Bonita! My fourth-grade teacher was a huge influence and a great encouragement. She still sends me holiday cards, as she does to everyone in my fourth-grade class. It turns out we were her first classroom, her first experience teaching. We thought she was a Goddess. She was just learning on the job. I was also influenced by all the wonderful children books that I read--and that is what I wanted to do. Write children's literature. I am just now returning to that field.
