A Goodreads user asked R.M. Webb:

Where do you get inspiration to write your books?

R.M. Webb Oh boy. My mind is my playground. Ideas and characters and stories pop in and out, begging me to get to know them, to write them, and to share them with others.

For example, right now, I'm writing the second book in my Immortal Memories series and while I've plotted and outlined what I'd like the characters to do for the remainder of this book, they've developed minds of their own and are off trying to persuade me to let them do other things.

One of the characters got so persuasive that he's earned himself a spin off series. So now, I've got the main plot of Immortal Memories in my head, but now this other spin off plot keeps developing itself as well.

On top of that, I had the MOST AWESOME idea for my next series pop in my head while I was near to sleeping and my mind has just taken off sprinting with that idea, building the world, creating the characters, wondering what might happen to them.

I've got notes jotted down everywhere! If only I could write faster!.
