Nevada asked Sandy Williams:

Were you considering making the Shadow Reader into a 4 or 5 book series in book 2? It seemed like you were bringing enough material into to really grow the series (which would have been ah-mazing).

Sandy Williams Glad you were wanting more. :-) Short answer is no. I'd originally written The Shadow Reader as a stand alone book because I'd written other books before that one that were intended to be the first of series, and I was always disappointed when I didn't get an agent or sell to a publisher because I really wanted to write the sequels. Thus, I made sure I wouldn't be disappointed after I submitted The Shadow Reader.
Of course, then it sold, and I let all the other ideas I'd reserved for the story line flow. I planned to end it in three books because I love trilogies.
But there is a lot more I can do in the world. I know what happens after the events in The Sharpest Blade. It's sooooo tempting to write about them. :-)
