Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Robin Lythgoe The idea for my most recent book, "Blood and Shadow," was born a million years ago. Okay, maybe only several years ago… The main character, Sherakai dan Tameko, began life in a play-by-chat roleplaying game under a slightly different name. I've since changed the world he came from (Woohoo! World building! Maps! Ideas for even more stories!) and even changed parts of his tale, but the basics remain the same. "Blood and Shadow" begins to explore the story of how Sherakai came to be what he is and why. While snippets of *this* story were present in the old one, I've been able to delve much deeper into his past. SUCH fun.
